Program Set-Up
Student Objectives for this Chapter
- To understand the steps required to input a model into various computer programs
- Boomer, SAAM II, WinNONLIN, and ADAPT
- To understand how to complete a nonlinear regression problem using each of these programs
In Chapter 6 we discussed the modeling of pharmacokinetic data and the least squares criteria. In that Chapter use of computer programs was mentioned. These computer programs are generally referred to as nonlinear regression programs as they can be used to model equations representing curved lines. In this chapter we will briefly describe how to set up a small number of nonlinear regression programs used in the analysis of pharmacokinetic data, including
Other useful pharmacokinetic programs are listed on this page.
