Dear all
Does anyone have any information on the solubility of the
antiinflammatory drug, nimesulide? We are beginning to examine the kinetics
and effects of this compound in our chronically instrumented sheep model and
would like to infuse the drug intravenously over several hours. The
compound is a sulfonamide and appears to be soluble in water at a pH > 8.3.
I have concerns about a prolonged infusion at this pH so would appreciate
any additional information that may allow us to prepare a more physiological
solution (ie., pH ~7.4).
Thank you for your assistance with this problem.
Sincerely,

You could try to solibilize it with glycine or meglumine (1:1 molar) at
lower pH's.
