The 1,100 acres Plains Conservation Center (PCC) is owned by the City of Aurora, Parks, Recreation and Open Space department (APOS). Educational programs and presented by the City of Aurora and the Denver Botanic Gardens. Stop by the Visitor Center for more information. On display at PCC are a tipi camp, an impressive collection of old farm equipment, two sod houses, an old school house, a blacksmith shop and corrals which hold cattle, llamas and pigs during the summer. The PCC, short grass prairie is home to a herd of pronghorn, prairie dogs, coyotes, bald eagles and many other birds.
