We are in search of a chemical which is insoluble in water, stable and solid.
Its should have an IR absorption in the range of 2000 ~ 2800 Cm-1. and
without absorption in the range of 1500 ~ 1800 cm-1. Asking for a lot. We would
really appreciate help in finding this compound.
Thanks
Raj

As the term "insoluble" is an absolute which causes semantic difficulties,
it might be helpful if the sender of this message defined more precisely
the maximum aqueous solubility which is acceptable.

Hello,Richard,
Nice to hear from you.
It's difficult to find a compound to meet all the requirements. "Insoluble"
here could be a little compromise. It will be ok if the compound could dissolve
a little in water, for example, in more than 1000 ml of water.
Thanks for your answer and suggestion.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
