Two compartment IV Bolus - Example Calculations

Macro to Micro Constants - Volumes of Distribution

Question 1. A drug follows first order (i.e. linear) two compartment pharmacokinetics. A dose of 10 mg was given by IV bolus and a number of blood samples were collected and analyzed for drug plasma concentration. After a successful analysis using the method of residuals values of A, B, α and β were determined to be 2.46 mg/L, 3.84 mg/L, 3.89 hr-1 and 0.1 hr-1, respectively.

Calculate V1, Varea, Vss, kel, k12 and k21 for this drug.
