An Introduction to Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics

A Family Circle cartoon show a young child given an im injection who might ask "How will that 'ouch' get from there to my sore throat"? The answer to this question is the basis of biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. That is, how drugs move around the body and how quickly this movement occurs. During this course many of the processes which control the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs will be discussed, qualitatively (biopharmaceutics) and quantitatively (pharmacokinetics).
